Body Gospel Workout Day 17 & 18: Stretching in the Spirit and Gospel Glory

I skipped yesterday since I was practicing a lot of Zumba choreo, probably shouldn’t have since it was Stretch in the Spirit. I could have handled that. So, doubling up today. Today is a good combo for Gospel, Stretch in the Spirit and Gospel Glory. We have a fun workout and stretching.

I will be covering both devotionals today too.

Our first Bible verse is Psalm 37:23-24 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholds him with his hand.” We fall. Don’t we? We try things, fail and then we have a choice, try again or quit. We have that same choice here. Whether we have totally disregarded our good eating habits or have skipped workouts, we have a choice. Quit Body Gospel or pick it up and try again. Well, the Lord reaches out his hand to us and says we can do it. So, we keep trying because we know we can count on God!

The next verse is Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.” Donna talks about how the hardest part of our fitness journey is our eating habits in the devotional for this verse. I totally agree. Many of us find it so much easier to workout and completely disregard our eating habits. God does not want us to fixate and stress about what we eat, but, everything we do is to honor God. So, that includes eating. If we think of it as a spiritual act, it might be easier for us to focus, seeking God in our choices.
